Meanwhile players gathered together on Sunday, March 5 to pay their respects to Matthew Munro, a promising young bowler who sadly succumbed to cystic fibrosis in 2012.

A match was arranged between Norfolk and Suffolk to play for the trophy. The trophy was reclaimed by Norfolk 135-113. Irene Hughes, Matt’s mother, once again presented the cup.

Top rink for Norfolk was Shirley Lloyd, Sally Webb, Owen Smith and Sheila Bailey and for Suffolk, Mike Howell, Jan Moody, Nigel Lawson and Chris Howell.

An auction raised charity funds of £400.
