Browston Hall’s Men’s A now sit proudly at the top of the County League after comprehensively defeating Shotford on Saturday at Browston.
The score was 102-50 to give them all seven points.
Dennis Pratt led the way with Phil Ellis, Mac Skilton and Nigel Nutman 32-14. The block included two fives and a six. Vic Moore followed with a 25-10 result with Mike Topping, Terry White and Mal French. The Turner boys, Scott, Glen and Roy together with Colin Butcher had a 24-13 win and Peter Hurren, Tony Bridge, Jim Malcolm and Derek Chumbley won 27-13.
The B squad went down 70-83 at Shotford. Their sole point came courtesy of John Spooner, Don Cleeter, David Lowe and Adrian Warman with a 21-12 draw. Ron Barrett’s block led 17-15 with three ends to go but conceded four. Jon Carter, Ron Castro, Keith Beales and Charlie Toplis suffered a six and went down 19-27 and Mike Howell’s men lost 13-25.
