RETROSKATE, the new roller skating venue on Great Yarmouth's seafront has enjoyed a busy summer and has welcomed many new skaters not only to its public sessions, but also on Mondays at 5pm to the popular and improved FARS grades session.

RETROSKATE, the new roller skating venue on Great Yarmouth's seafront has enjoyed a busy summer and has welcomed many new skaters not only to its public sessions, but also on Mondays at 5pm to the popular and improved FARS grades session.

Skaters can be taught for just �3 by fully qualified and CRB checked coaches and can obtain their badges to go on and learn artistic free skating or roller dance at 6pm or even learn roller hockey on a Wednesday at 6.30pm.

The tests are accessed by international judge Victoria Brown, skater and coach to North Walsham, Waveney and Retroskate.

The latest skaters to pass their grades tests are: Malachi Mitchell grade 5, Jason Hall grades 1, 2, 3; Hayden Lawn 1, 2, 3; Alex Hendry grade 4; Macaulay Gates 1, 2, 3; Zoe Scarff 1, 2, 3; Anna Haylett 1, 2, 3; Callum Anderson 1, 2; Shannon Bowles 1, 2, 3; Deyana Hunt 1, 2; Leon Pollett 1, 2, 3; Brett Smith 1; Devon Smith 1; Liam Hanley 5; Laura Eisenhauer 1, 2; Max Haylett 1; Melissa Anderson 1; Kayleigh Edwards 1; Ben Docwra 1; Matthew Docwra 1; Evie Read 5; Dulcie Read 4; David Etherington 6, 7, 8, 9 free skating; Gaynor Read 6; Philip Flint 6.

The venue is to hold its first theme night on September 12 and invites you to see out the summer in style with a Beach Party Vibe, tickets in advance for �5 each or family of four for �13. All advance ticket sales will be entered into a raffle on the night with a �50 voucher for Retro's skate shop to be won. A Halloween party is planned for October 31 and Christmas and New Year's Eve parties.

Retroskate has a new timetable with public sessions on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 3.30 to 6.30pm, late skate Thursdays 7 to 10pm, Laser Disco Friday 7 to 10.30pm, Family Disco Saturdays 7 to 10pm and all day session Saturday and Sundays 11am to 6pm.
