Caister back to their best

Stalham 0, Caister 4

Caister ended a run of four consecutive defeats.

The game started very evenly and bedded down into a midfield battle. However on the half-hour mark a surging run from Adam Bartram saw him tuck the ball past the Stalham keeper.

This brought Caister to life and Kieran Hack started to cause chaos down the right, backed up by the impressive Kevin Jarvis. Hack put the visitors two up after a good ball through was tucked past the keeper. At the other end Gislam and Owen were staying strong.

The second half started well for Caister when Gislam climbed well to nod them 3-0 ahead. The hard-working Dan Bartram then made it four.

The midfield four of Hack, Blake, Johnson and Ward continued to dominate the game and Caister could have gone further ahead on numerous occasions through D Bartram and the unlucky Crane. At the other end there was a good near-post save by Gillary when a goal back could have easily changed the momentum of the game.

This was one of the best performances and most satisfying results since the manager took over.

MoM Kieran Hack, but all 13 players used were superb and played excellently as a team.

Next game is home to top-of-the-table Wells, meet 1.15pm, 2.30pm kick-off.
