Teams from Caister Roma, Martham, the Wasps and Hornets of Beccles Town, Acle United and, making their debut at Futsal, the Royals of Kirkley and Pakefield, enjoyed the superb facilities which allowed 30 matches to be played.

The NSYFL is hoping to host even more outside events as all the Futsal and 3 v 3 current events are full.

At the weekend there was cup football with the under 13 semi-finals taking place. The Lions of Waveney will meet the Hornets of Beccles Town in the final, after both teams defeated Gorleston Rangers teams in the semi-finals, leaving the Ospreys to concentrate on capturing the Division Two title, and the Falcons to continue their quest of the Division One title, as both these Gorleston Rangers teams still have plenty to play for.

Gorleston FC under 12s secured their place in the final, coming out on top in an eight-goal match with a 5-3 home win over the Predators of Mutford and Wrentham.

In the final they will meet their old rivals Harleston who needed extra-time to book their final place after defeating the Comets of Kirkley and Pakefield 5-4 at Walmer Road.

Long Stratton’s under 11 cup quarter-final was lost to the weather but the other three matches did take place. The Comets of Bohemians secured their semi-final spot with a 3-1 home win over Bungay Town United and joining them in the semi-final draw will be the Meerkats of Waveney who recorded a 3-0 win over Waveney Jaguars.
