From the kick-off Caister realised that this Dolphin Autos Anglian Combination Division Two game was going to be tough as Norwich fought for every ball, and gave Caister little time to pick the passes that would undo their hard-working visitors.

With the majority of the game in the middle of the park, the Caister wingers Crane and Shellard were seeing little of the ball, and were finding it difficult to get into the match.

This forced Caister to go more direct down the middle. Caister made many half-chances. On a couple of occasions both Fitzgerald and Holdworth got the better of the defence but couldn't finish the moves off with

a goal.

But just before half-time Caister took the lead. A cross from the right was met by Shellard who made no mistake from close range at the far post.

The second half saw Caister again taking the initiative and they spent most of the half attacking the visitors' goal, but again they found it difficult to break down a hard-working side.

In defence Caister again were a solid unit, and Hollis in goal had very little to do in terms of making saves. With just seconds left Caister got a much-deserved second goal.

Dan Crane broke down the left and gave the visiting keeper no chance with his finish. Caister were well worth their two-goal win as they had the vast majority of possession and they had to be patient against such industrious opponents.

Next match away to West Llyn, meet Caister at 12.45. Any call-offs phone Paul on 07966178074.
