Caister Roma made it through to a second cup final of the season when they defeated MK United Reserves 6-2 in the Burgess Cup semi final. This set up a clash with Haven Bridge United in the final of this competition on Friday, April 20 at 7.30pm at the Wellesley. Caister Roma are currently still on for a treble although this looks a tall feat giving the obstacles in front of them. However after a dismal January they bounced back in fine form and are playing better than anytime during the season. They will have tomorrow off before embarking on the Wiltshire Cup final against holders Catfield on Monday morning at 10.30am at the Wellesley.

Although they go into the final as underdogs they will fancy giving it a real go and with a nothing to lose attitude could very well pull off a shock. Their opponents on Monday Catfield are also on for a treble for the 5th time in 7 seasons. They took a stride towards the first division crown with an 8-0 win over MK United who had four members of the Reeve family in the squad. Belton meanwhile still sit top keeping the pressure on as they defeated Bohemians 4-0 in the New Road derby.

The top two take a break from league duties this week with Catfield in cup final action Monday. Belton have a league cup semi final tomorrow against a GY International side who will pose a real threat and still smarting from their Wiltshire Cup semi final defeat. This tie takes place tomorrow at New Road with a 2.30pm kick off. Staying in the Pub on the Shrubs Division one and Caister CC bounced back from last weeks defeat as they took three points in a 3-1 win at The Albion. The two teams meet again tomorrow in the return fixture as both teams warm up for semi finals in next couple weeks in different competitions.

On to Division two action and there was real surprise as Haven Bridge lost their 100% record with a 2-2 draw with the Feathers. Feathers are somewhat a boggy side for Haven Bridge as the champions elect only won 2-1 back in September and could have dropped points that day to. South Yarmouth meanwhile are putting on a real end of season blitz as they defeated Filby and Runham 4-1 at Halvergate. Tomorrow they face Grosvenor Casino in the Invitation Cup before a cracking match with Haven Bridge United Wednesday night at Halvergate.

Staying in the Invitation Cup and in Group A Prostar Windows collected three points with a walkover as Martham failed to raise a side. As stated this Monday sees the league prestigious Wiltshire cup final at the Wellesley as Caister Roma do battle with Catfield. Its a 10.30am kick off as per tradition and its £2 for adults and £1 U16s on the gate.
