It also seems that giant killing feats become habit-forming as Caister, who languish in the fourth division, met and defeated Narborough, a premiership side, also with an impressive cup pedigree, by seven runs. Caister also walked away with the Broke Cup last year.

This sets up an intriguing final to be played at Sprowston CC on August 25, Bank Holiday Monday between the Anglians and Caister for the Challenge Cup.

Results: Swardeston146-10 Anglians 149-8; Caister 171-4 Narborough 164-9.

On the same day, August 25, the final of the Broke Cup will also be played at Sprowston CC between Ashmanahugh and Great Witchingham. Both matches start at 1.30pm.
