Darren Buller of Ormesby St Maragret with a mirror carp of 34lb 7oz, his personal best by 14lbs.

It was caught while on a 24 hour catfish session fishing with two mates Adrian Perry and Gordon Saye at a Cambridge gravel pit and was landed by Adrian.

It was caught while on a 24 hour catfish session fishing with two mates Adrian Perry and Gordon Saye at a Cambridge gravel pit and was landed by Adrian. This carp was also his 13th fish over 30lb, the other 12 being catfish.

Buller was fishing at 50 yards to a gravel bar with 2 13mm halibut pellets on esp 20lb coated braid with a size four barbless raptor hook and 15lb daiwa sensor line. This mirror is his first ever 30lb plus carp, it came out at 10pm after a 10-minute battle It came at the end of his catfishing for this year which has also been very good with 955lb of cats caught with a dozen over 30lb.
