Carrow Road is just two games away now for Lacon Arms and Catfield as both made it through to the quarter-finals of the Junior Cup.

Both sides came through very tricky ties and can look forward to county action after Christmas.

Catfield played a physical Reffley Royals from King's Lynn, both sides undefeated in their respective leagues. A poor clearance was seized on by Thompson who made no mistake after being set up by Pillar, who was a constant threat.

Thompson added a second after the break from outside the box, Reffley pulled one back but Pillar finished the tie when he tucked away a penalty.

Underdogs Lacon Arms made it through when they defeated the Anglian Combination Division Three leaders Hempnall Reserves 2-1 away.

The Albion lost 5-1 at a very strong West Lynn SSC, one of the favourites for the cup.

The league also had two sides in Norfolk Primary Cup action where three second-half goals from Steve Eastoe and Steve King saw Prostar Windows overturn a 2-0 half-time deficit to win at Wymondham. MK United Reserves will replay this week after a 0-0 at home to Norton Athletic Reserves.

In Division One, Reedham won 8-1 at Yarmouth Peelers despite losing a player to a sending off. Ross Charlton claimed a hat-trick. Shrublands beat GY International 4-1. Only Catfield have beaten them in the league since September. Hemsby Reserves defeated a hard- working Tramways 3-2.

Division Two saw Bohemians win the game of the day against fellow front runners Norfolk and Chance 3-0 to open up a four-point lead having played a game more. Paperclip collected their first win of the season, 8-1 against Caister A, and Martham A warmed up for the Wiltshire Cup this with a 3-2 win over Gorleston Wanderers. GY United won 3-1 at Carpathians. Feathers defeated a young South Yarmouth 2-0 at Halvergate.

This week in the Wiltshire Cup, Division Two leaders Bohemians meet holders Catfield. A rearranged game sees GY United playing GY International . All ties kick-off at 1.30pm and must be played to a finish. The quarter-finals draw and Percy Nockolds Cup first round draw will take place tomorrow night, once all results are texted in to 07788 592529.

The mid season league meeting takes place this Thursday at the Burrage Centre at 7.15pm. All clubs must attend otherwise a £10 fine will be incurred. (Results, fixtures Supplement p2)
