Jahmal Mills (pictured) an U17 athlete with Great Yarmouth Athletic Club, won the SEAA combined events held at Bedford.
Competing in the U17 men's octathlon, he led the championship from the start. First day he competed in the long jump, hurdles javelin and 400m, and the second day in the high jump, shot, discus and 1500m.
Jahmal won the Southern Area and set a new record for the Eastern Region and Counties Championship with points totalling 4,746.
He celebrates his 17th birthday this week.
