Kingfisher ABC’s annual presentation evening took place at Merlins in Great Yarmouth.

A busy year for the club saw the new gym on Riverside Road, Gorleston opened and the coaching staff and structure in both Yarmouth and Norwich change considerably.

Despite these distractions, Kingfisher boxers competed in 73 contests, winning 45 with seven boxers making their debuts for the club.

During the season the club gained nine Norfolk champions, three Eastern Counties champions and Paulius Maclevelis made his first senior appearance for England, in Canada.

Debut awards went to Josh Mace, Hugh Bower, Kyle Crux, Martin Smith, Ryan Halil, Josh Bywater and Todd Davidson (sponsored by Dr Duncan). Most schoolboy/junior bouts (Lion Club Challenge Cup) – Liam Goddard. Most senior bouts (HA & EE Mannell Trophy) – Hugh Bower. Most improved junior (George Carman Cup) – Toby Oliver. Most improved senior (Carlton Cup) – Kyle Crux.

Club Achievement (J Dawson Trophy) – Glen and Margaret Miller. Best junior/schoolboy Boxer (Cecil Page Trophy) – Curtis Williams. Best senior boxer (Charrington Trophy) – Paulius Maclevelis and Caine Brunning. Most outstanding performance (W E G Walton Trophy) – Caine Brunning.

Most bouts won in a season (Gordon Clatworthy Cup) – Liam Goddard. Best championship performance (Battersea ABC Trophy) – Kevin Dyball. Outstanding clubman award – Hugh Bower and Henri Potter. Kingfisher special award – Paulius Maclevelis. Most outstanding boxer of the year (The Hardwick Trophy) – Liam Goddard.
