Chance to try sports
LYNN Grove High School in Gorleston is opening its doors tomorrow (Saturday, April 16) to give the opportunity to try some different sports whilst raising money for the Palliative Care Trust.
In partnership with the Great Yarmouth Borough Council, Active Norfolk and Samballa Yoga, the school is hosting the event to enable people to go and sample sports.
A whole day of introductory sessions lasting 45 minutes will be available.
Some of the Ben Nevis Challenge team will be at the event throughout the day, so if you haven’t yet sponsored a climber go along and make a donation. And while you are there, have a go at one of the activities on offer.
There will be four areas of different sports.
Yoga for beginners and yoga flow sessions will be in the sports hall. Fencing, karate and Tai Chi will also be held in the sports hall.
Displays by the Phoenix Karate and the Qigong Tai Chi schools will be on show with the opportunity for you to have a go as well.
