The Chinto Karate Group at Great Yarmouth had an amazing end to 2017.

Just before Christmas coach Gavin Smith threw himself out of an aeroplane to do a parachute jump raising much needed funds for the squad to compete abroad.

Chief instructor of the group, Sensei Tracy Pillar, thanked Gavin for giving up his time and doing such an amazing thing for the group.

A few days the mayor of Great Yarmouth Kerry Robinson-Payne visited the group during a training session to congratulate Elizabeth Smith, silver medal world champion winner in kumite and Chloe Gomes for competing in the second world karate championships in Montecatini, Italy in November and representing the borough and England. The mayor congratulated the club for all their achievements in the year.
