Broadland-Great Yarmouth RFC were awarded £2,500 from NatWest Rugby Force, a scheme designed to help local club improve club facilities.

A number of club members spent last weekend cleaning, fixing and repairing the clubhouse. In addition the coaching and general stores were completely repainted, new shelving was installed around the facility, all the lights in the clubhouse were replaced with energy efficient ones and outdoor furniture was purchased and assembled.

The annual clubhouse clean up under the banner of NatWest Rugby Force is part of a national support programme for rugby clubs.

Club facilities manager John Graham said: “Thank you to everyone who turned up over the weekend, it was great to have club members and families down for the day sorting out the club. I would also like to say a big thank you to WT Waste of Great Yarmouth who supplied a skip free of charge.”

BGY RFC pre-season training for begins on Tuesday (7-9pm) and continues thereafter on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

New players are very welcome and can to turn up to any session and speak to one of the coaches.
