Yarmouth Sunday (Cliff Hotel) League
Sunday saw the first cup final for one of the league’s teams when Belton United travelled to the county’s FDC centre in Norwich to face Fairstead in the Norfolk Sunday Junior Cup final.
Despite giving a good account of themselves came away with a disappointing 2-1 defeat after extra time. This was a great effort by a new club in their first season in the league and they will be sure to give it another go next season.
On the home front Thursday evening saw some league action take place, In Division One Windmill beat Bohemians 5-2 whilst El Sol defeated Carpathians 7-0. Sunday’s sole Division One game saw El Sol move into second place with a 3-1 win against Gorleston Albion.
In Division Two AC Mill Lane kept up their challenge for second with a 4-2 victory against Breydon united, and followed up with a good 7-0 win against Seajacks on the Sunday. Windmill Reserves went out to Hemsby Athletic and returned with a 2-0 win.
In the Division Three League Cup GY Galaxy progressed with a 3-2 win at Caister Sunday.
