GOLF: Gorleston golfer Jamie Bool, aged 11, (pictured below) has been selected to represent Norfolk County Golf Union Juniors under-14 team.
He will participate in three events this month, against Hunstanton Seniors, Great Yarmouth & Caister Seniors and in a Kieth Bass Trophy event held at Colne Valley in Essex.
Jamie is currently playing off 16.9 and is a member of both Caldecott and Gorleston golf clubs.
He is also a member of the junior elite squad run by golf professional Chris Potter situated at Norfolk Premier Golf in Blofield. He will shortly be playing in a match event against members of The Norfolk Golf Club in Reymeston.
Jamie has reduced his handicap from 23 to 16 from April this year, and regular lessons with Caldecott club professional Mark Tungate (Caldecott) have helped to bring him on.
