THE Lacon Cup final will be played tomorrow (Saturday) at Acle, starting at 6.30pm, between Woodbastwick and Rollesby. All support will be very welcome.
The Donny Pearce finalists have now been decided, they are Martham A and Halvergate Top Green.
In Division One the battle at the top is hotting up.
Burlingham kept the pressure on the rest of the pace setters with a 91-55 (7-0) home win over Gorleston EBF and then an away win over Runham 72-65 (6-1) to keep top spot.
Martham A had similar results, a home win against Gorleston EBF 112-44 (7-0) and then an away win against Runham 92-64
(6-1). Retaining their unbeaten record, they are right behind Burlingham.
Acle, with a 90-76 (7-0 ) win at Fleggburgh Private, now sit in third place.
With Woodbastwick losing 57-80 (-6) at Gorleston Conservatives, and the Conservatives dropping valuable points at home to Fleggburgh Private 73-76 (1-5) this gives the top two a little space.
Potter Heigham came in with a 86-52 (7-0) win over visitors Northgate and there was better news for Runham with a 82-58 (6-1) home win over Rollesby.
In Division Two, Caister A had a good trip to Ludham, coming away with a 84-77 (5-2) win to stay in the front pack. Ludham then took revenge on Caister B, whose trip was not so rewarding, losing 95-65 (6-1).
In the battle involving Filby A and B teams, the A team came out on top winning 88-63
(6-1), then Filby A playing away to Martham B lost 58-93 (6-1). Martham B finished their week with an away win against Caister B 74-66 (6.5-.5).
Bowlers are reminded that the starting time for August is 6.30pm.
