Great Yarmouth's NAK National, WKMA English and Eastern Counties schoolgirl kickboxing champion Jade Munro, 12, made her Thaiboxing debut in Leicester last weekend, taking on far more experienced Tasha Ryan from Liverpool.

Jade used excellent knee strikes and clinch work to win in style.

Team-mate Liam Plant, 19, having his sixth bout, fought top-of-the bill against popular former boxer Mickey Robinson of Leicester, a veteran of over 15 bouts.

Plant boxed superbly, making the big-punching Leicester man look crude at times.

Fighting off the back foot Plant looked to have won at least two of the three rounds, but the home town fighter was awarded the bout on a split decision.

Coaches Bin Tyler and Dave Munro were extremely proud of their two fighters, who both train at Three Lions Gym, Escourt Road, Yarmouth.
