THE deluge of rain put paid to several fixtures with the games at Hemsby and Rollesby off, Caesars abandoned and the non-start of the two Intermediate Cup fixtures involving Camden Tavern Reserves and Windmill.

They will try again on Sunday in their respective ties at Bayer and New Buckenham.

There were a handful of games played.

In Division One, El Sol closed the gap on leaders Camden to three points following their fine 3-1 win against an out-of-sorts Arches who saw their captain Warren Nicholls taken off with a suspected broken ankle.

But the Boys' best player on the day, Jellyman in goal, dislocated his knee in the final minute and the league would like to wish both players a speedy recovery.

In the third division, leaders Sun FC were held to a thrilling 3-3 draw by the unbeaten Rumbold Arms.
