Yarmouth Sunday league (Cliff Hotel)

Last weekend saw league fixtures all the way, with three teams hitting double figures in goals, one in each division. El Sol led the way in the first division with J Thompson, M Anderson both scoring hat-tricks, R Catchpole, two and one apiece for R Oldham, J Forbes, T Markham, E Hannant, as they beat Gorleston Rangers 12-1 and moved up to fourth in the division. Leaders Windmill had a difficult game on the Beaconsfield against Gorleston Albion. Mikey Griffin opened the scoring for the Albion, with the Windmill equalising straight away through R Butler, and then runing out 3-1 victors.

Bohemians went second on goal difference with a 4-1 win over Memphis Belton. In the battle of the villages Rollesby got the better of neighbours Hemsby, winning 3-1.

In Division two, Windmill Reserves went one better than El sol scoring 13 against bottom club Seajacks with one in reply. In the battle of the division’s top two, Tramway continue to lead with a 6-4 victory away to Acle Wanderers. Allens Bar got theIR second league win of the season beating Hemsby Athletic 6-2, whilst AC Mill Lane had the better of Breydon United winning 5-1 on Mill Lane.

The highest score of the day was a 14-1 victory over a gallant Blackfrairs, who despite being bottom of the table give their all every week. In the remaining two fixtures, goals from G Ward 2, D White, L Bartley and G Fitzgerald gave Caister a good 5-1 win against Belton Utd to keep both teams level at the top of the division, with Belton leading on goal difference. In the other game Patriots lost 2-1 to Wheelwrights.
