Great Yarmouth Sunday League (Cliff Hotel)

Seven was the order of the day in Division One last Sunday, as El Sol had already hit that number by half-time against Venture Albion. The second half saw Venture score two of their own, although Sol were denied time and again by the Venture keeper in a 7-2 win. Acle Wanderers hosted Gorleston Albion, but found the visitors too good as they romped to a 7-0 victory.

In Division Two, a solitary goal was enough to secure the points for Gorleston Rangers against Memphis Belton in a close game. Camden Tavern Res made the treck to Hemsby, and came away with all three points in a 4-0 win over Hemsby and Windmill Res as they defeated Leisureland 4-2 to move a step closer to the second division title, although Lichfield Arms are pushing them all the way, as they recorded a 4-2 win over Breydon Utd.

The first division League Cup final will be between El Sol and last week’s winning semi-finalists Windmill, who ran riot over Rollesby in an 9-1 rout - Glyn Gray.
