Yarmouth Sunday League (Cliff Hotel)

The big game in Division One last Sunday was El Sol’s fixture with Camden Tavern, and at the end of 90 minutes it was El Sol who ran out deserved 4-2. Windmill travelled to Beighton to play Acle Wanderers and did their goal average no harm at all, with a 9-0 win. Bohemians hosted Martham Sunday on Mill Lane, and the visited took all three points in a 3-1 win. Rollesby’s match with Yarmouth White Socks was a one-sided affair as the visitors to the Beaco eased to a 4-0 victory.

In Division Two Camden Tavern Res put together a solid performance in beating Memphis Belton 7-2. AC Mill Lane for a majority of the game did well to compete with Windmill Res, but finally went down 4-0. Litchfield Arms played Gorleston Rangers on Mill Lane and for the fourth time this season another close encounter unfolded, with Litchfield edging it by 3-2. Hemsby Athletic played their final game of the season against Seajacks and an entertaining match resulted in a 3-3.

The league would like to send their condolences to Steven Bishop and family and Albert Jones and family. Two sad losses, namely Tony Bishop and Jimmy Jones, who have over the years have had a great input into local football - Glyn Gray.
