Two members of Great Yarmouth & District Athletic Club were amongst the 39,347 finishers at the London Marathon.
The weather conditions were perfect for the annual race and the noise of the supporters added to the great atmosphere.
Running her eighth London race was Elaine Haggarty, who managed to obtain a rare ballot place and was pleased with her finish of 5:22.25.
Having won the club place Pat Brightman, a veteran of this event, was running her 22nd London Marathon and had been pleased with race results this year so far. Three weeks ago Pat ran the Manchester Marathon and exceeded her expectations and perhaps she left some energy in Manchester, by missing out on her goal by a mere 34 seconds to finish in 5:30.34.
Thanks must be given to all club members and many more of the Norfolk running community who travelled to London for their wonderful support.
