After a season of numerous tournaments and considerable travelling around the country, Rachel Hodds was selected to take part in the England trials for tenpin bowling.
Rachel, an East Norfolk Sixth Form student, performed brilliantly and was thrilled to be selected for the England team.
She has bowled at Regent Bowl in the Great Yarmouth Youth Bowling League on Saturday mornings since she was four and is one of only a handful of girls in the league.
“Although we're always looking for new members, it would be really great if more girls came into tenpin bowling,” said Rachel. She is bowling for Norfolk this weekend but will be back training and playing with the GYYBC after that.
