Thaiboxer Liam Plant (20 - inset) has brought the England welterweight title belt back to Great Yarmouth.
He travelled to Bournemouth and took on title holder, local favourite fighter Jay Prasert. Plant, who represents the 3 Lions Yarmouth and Lowestoft-based gym, started well, out-boxing the Bournemouth man and winning the first two rounds in style.
In round three the champion rallied and round four saw both fighters looking for a knockout, tiring as they fought at a relentless pace. After stern words from trainers Dave Munro and Bin Tyler, Plant stormed out in the fifth round, eventually landing a superb left hook that put the champion down for the full count.
