Daniel Seabourne, 16, known as ‘Spike’, has for the second year running received an invitation from the English Indoor Bowls Association International Selection Committee to attend a trial for the England U18 squad.
The trial will take place on Sunday, September 9 at Rugby and successful players have to be available to play on October 13/14 to play in the British Isles Championships, which will take place at Stanley IBC.
“This is great news for Spike and we wish him all the best for the trial,” said Acle Indoor Bowls Club manager Denis Goodley. “The trial is very early in the season, in fact, we do not start our indoor season until September 17, though fixtures for the winter season are already available for collection from the club,” he added.
