As the end of the outdoor bowls season nears, members of Gorleston Bowling Club can reflect on a successful season.

The Men’s EBA team won their league and reached the play-off finals held at Wymondham Dell and were runners-up in their Malta Cup League, also going to the play-off finals held at Great Yarmouth. Although not winning through in the finals the teams had very good matches on both occasions.

The ladies entered a new team into the Malta Cup and with 10 new players had an enjoyable season with some good matches played in a friendly atmosphere.

The annual friendly against Finedon Town was a great success with fantastic weather, and the return match was also a great day, but the weather was not. However the club finished with a good result. The club competitions have been very enjoyable and the new Novice Trophy competition was a great success. All prizes will be given out at the presentation night at the Pier Hotel.
