Great Yarmouth CC’s Jan Smith smashed her lifetime best at the Godric 10.

Showing her strength after completing Lands End to John O’Groats, she took an enormous 55 seconds off her previous time.

Jenny Anderson also showed good form, completing in 26.23.

Stephen Brown completed the course in 25.09 on a fixed gear bike while Jonny Hawes was the fastest of the GYCC riders, completing in 22.45 and setting himself a new course best in the process. The event was won by Liam Gentry in 20.35.

GYCC’s Thursday night time trial saw 16 riders take part. Tom Moore dipped below 26 minutes for the first time on this course with 25.57, giving him third. Stephen Brown put in his second best ride of the year (26.30) while Louis Julian won in 23.40.

On Sunday, a small group of GYCC riders took part in the annual 100-mile Ride London event. Simon Smith powered round in only five hours 31 minutes.
