Former champion jockey Kieren Fallon should make his first appearance a winning one at Great Yarmouth following his completion of an 18 month ban when he partners Splashdown, in the Ebf Attheraces.com John Musker Fillies Stakes (4.30) on Day Two of the Eastern Festival this afternoon.
The Luci Cumani-trained Splashdown has looked impressive over 10-furlongs this season - as shown when winning a listed fillies stakes at Newbury in June and then finishing a decent second to Ave at Salisbury last time out.
With Fallon in the saddle she is sure to go close again in this feature race of the Festival, which looks extremely competitive.
Elsewhere on the bumper eight race card, Jamie Spencer, another former champion jockey, could well have a good afternoon with decent chances aboard the debutant Mont Agel in the E.b.f. Maiden Stakes (2,45), Night Knight in the Danny Wright Memorial Selling Stakes (3.20) and the David Barron-trained Imperial Echo in Division Two of the Lynn Brennan 60th Birthday Handicap (5.30).
Division One of Lynn Brennan 60th Birthday Handicap (1.40) looks difficult to assess, so Captain Flasheart is the tentative selection here.
Fajitia has been a model of consistency this term and is sure to run his race again in the Firstbet.com 50 Matched Bet 0800 230 0800 Claiming Stakes (2.10).
