MORE than 200 entrants have signed up for Sunday's first ever Reedham 10 Road Race through the villages of Reedham, Limpenhoe, Freethorpe and Wickhampton.
MORE than 200 entrants have signed up for Sunday's first ever Reedham 10 Road Race through the villages of Reedham, Limpenhoe, Freethorpe and Wickhampton.
Organised by Great Yarmouth and District Athletics Club, the event is the ideal preparation for runners gearing up for the spring marathon season.
Race director Pat Brightman said: “It is a beautiful scenic 10-mile route - an ideal race for runners preparing for a spring marathon like London - but also a good course for beginners.
The circuit starts and finishes at Reedham Village Hall, with the race starting at 11am.
With places available for up to 300 entrants it is still possible to enter on the day, by 10.10am at the latest.
Entry is �12 for club runners and �14 for unattached runners with prizes for individual, veteran and team winners.
Changing, toilet, parking and refreshment facilities are available. Minimum age on race day is 17 years.
Yarmouth Mayor Terry Easter is getting the race underway and presenting the prizes at 1.15 pm. Each runner taking part will receive a special memento of the occasion.
