CAISTER U12 were away to Gorleston FC A. Caister maintained their good passing game and were soon one up with Bradley Baker shooting high. The second was another good move from midfield progressing on to Tyler Bleach to put away a cool finish.

CAISTER U12 were away to Gorleston FC A. Caister maintained their good passing game and were soon one up with Bradley Baker shooting high. The second was another good move from midfield progressing on to Tyler Bleach to put away a cool finish. Caister dominated looked very confortable in all departments. With more good movement and great play, Tyler Bleach hit the third with another good finish. Half time: Gorleston 0, Caister 3. The second half was all Caister again and they went four up with a great cross on the left from Tyler Bleach who found Bradley Rowand. The fifth came after a great run from George Lewis who found space and hit another fine finish. Bradley Stark had more great runs and deserved to get on the score sheet, hitting the upright on several occasions. The last 15 minutes saw two more goals from Caister with Tyler Bleach getting his hat-trick, and a looping shot from Kieran Smith made it seven. Gorleston battled to the last minute and grabbed themselves a goal. Final score Gorleston 1, Caister 7. MoM: Tyler Bleach, a fine hat-trick. Goals: Tyler Bleach 3, Bradley Baker, Bradley Rowand, George Lewis, Kieran Smith.

CAISTER U12 played Blundeston Magpies in a rearranged game. Caister started very well and maintained a great passing game making the most of a large pitch. The wind was strongly in Caister's favour in the first half and they could have been two goals up within the first 10 minutes with good chances from Kieran and Will. The Magpies scored an own goal which was quickly followed with a determined run from James which saw him fouled for a penalty. Bradley Stark scored a great spot kick. Caister defended well with Cain remaining vigilant and pulling off a good one-on-one save. Caister earned a free-kick on the edge of the box, which Bradley Stark fired into the top right corner to make it 3-0 at half-time. The second half saw good possession from Caister and good runs from Miles attacking the right wing and connecting well with Kieran and the other Caister forwards. James and George had yet another fine performance in midfield. Magpies clawed their way back to 3-3 although Caister had many more opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net. Man of the match was Miles Holmes who piled pressure on the right wing. Goals: og and Bradley Stark 2.

CAISTER U9B gave a much improved performance against a spirited Wavney Youth C, running out comfortable 9-2 winners .An electric start saw Caister race into a three-goal lead. Richie slipped home the first followed by Alex Quinton getting two, Waveney pulled one back after Will had saved the penalty and the rebound was put away. But with Reece working his socks off and Harley tackling like a terrier more chances were created and Alex Q was again on fire to smash home two more. Waveney pulled another back before Alex Q finished the first half scoring (6-2). More crisp passing and hard work from Daniel up front and Ozzy showing his goalkeeping skills showed Caister had got last week's indifferent performance out of their system. Second half goals from Will and two more for Alex Q (7) saw the final score Caister U9 B 9, Wavney Youth C 2. Only sour note on the day was injury to Alfie, get well soon. MoM: Alex Q and Reece, two great performances.

COBHOLM BOYS U9 played away to Hemsby C and ran out 11-0 winners with goals from Jacob (6), Keanan (3) and Will F (2). All the players did their bit to keep a clean sheet. Owen had a good first half in goal and was replaced by William M at half-time. Jordan and Shaun were solid in defence with both pushing up and not being afraid to shoot, with Jordan coming close a few times and also setting Jacob up with an excellent headed clearance. Will and Jacob started in midfield with both chasing back well and then being their usual selves linking up well with Mazie. Keanan played well when he came on, grabbing a hat-trick. Will M did not have much to do in goal in the second half but nearly set up Will F with an excellent clearance. MoM: Shaun. Training 10am Saturday.

COBHOLM BOYS U8 played away to Bungay A. Another slow start for Cobholm, who must learn to play both halves. In the first half they could have played a lot better, but in the second half they improved again with better passing. Well done Andrew for showing good improvement. Man of match goes to Bailey for hard work. Training 10am Saturday.

GORLESTON FC U11 played at Walmer Road this weekend against Kirkly & Pakefield C who sit above them in the table. GFC had only nine players. All the lads up for the challenge, closing down quickly to put on pressure and force mistakes. Kirkly played very well but could not break GFC down, denied by the keeper Jake who played awesomly throughout. The defence protected the goal with every once of energy getting them to half-time with a 0-0 scoreline. In the second half GFC had no subs or changes and knew K&P would pull all the stops out to score. After a good five to 10 minutes the first goal came. GFC started to get tired but they kept going and with one soft penalty awarded then another penalty the game finished 3-0 to K&P. The boys can walk away heads high, they where brilliant from start to finish. MoM: All. GFC are still seeking one or two more players, please call Daren on 07535 696819.

GORLESTON RANGERS GIRLS U10 had their first-ever game against Sprowston Girls U9. Rangers got off to a good start with some great passing and team work. The first goal was scored with a great run by Jane. Kelsey kept the girls on their toes with great vocals from the goalmouth. Jane scored her second goal which was closely followed by another from Jade. The girls were buzzing with confidence and with that came a great strike across the goal from Megan to make the score 4-0 at half-time. The second half got off to a fantastic start with Jane achieving her first hat-trick. Sprowston came back with some good strikes but were unable to get past Kelsey, who was on great form. The second half proved to be very productive for Rangers with some great defending from Caitlin and Jade. The final 15 minutes saw Rangers rack up another five goals between Jane and Megan, bringing the final score to 10-0. A brilliant first game for the girls and credit to the Sprowston Girls who were playing up a year.

GORLESTON RANGERS U10D played Blundeston Magpies at home on Sunday. Michael in goal had to make some very good saves. Rangers found it hard to get their passing game going in the first half but still had some chances with Muhammed shooting wide and Dan's good free-kick well saved. Callum and Lewis in defence did their jobs well. The second half Rangers came straight out of the traps. Captain Joshua B had the first shot on goal go just wide and Jack C made a tremendous run all the way down the pitch but was cut off by some good defending. Muhammed scored his debut goal, seeing the ball trickle in, which changed the game for Rangers. Minutes later saw Jack C thunder a ball into the bottom corner. At the back Callum and Matty were seeing off everyything, making some great tackles, and Pedro worked hard on the right wing. A brilliant pass from Josh B was taken on by Jack C to Muhammed who just tipped it over the bar. There was some good passing between Muhammed and Josh S who had a shot go wide and another saved. Five minutes before the final whistle Dan found himself with space and time and delivered a fantastic ball over the keeper's head. Final score 3-0. Goal scorers: Muhammed, Jack C, Dan. A big thank you to sponsors Mitchells Renault for their continued support.

GORLESTON RANGERS U13A eased to an 11-0 victory at home to Caister. Man of the match Jay Turner started the ball rolling with a neat finish from Jake Collella's cross. An excellent run from Cameron Brooks set up Joe McCabe to double the lead before Jake Collella was on the end of a Jed Knights cross to head Rangers into a 3-0 half-time lead. Callum Batley entered the fray second half and scored the first of his four goals, Jay again finished well with both feet in quick succession to make it six. Declan Round showed his class for Rangers' seventh, Jay notched his fourth then Callum Batley finished the game off with three goals. Caister never gave up and on the odd occasion the visitors did break they came up against a solid defensive line and Jordan Huggins pulled off a great late save to keep the clean sheet in Rangers' biggest win this season. Reminder that training is now on the Rec, starting tomorrow 10.30am-noon. Next match against Waveney A, Ipswich and Suffolk Cup first round at Denes High School, Lowestoft. Kick off 10.30am, meet at the ground at 10am, any problems call Steve 01493 669241.

HEMSBY HORNETS U7A played Waveney B. A very competent display from the Hornets with some of the best passing to date. Everybody was communicating well and working for each other, also some very good movement off the ball which the Hornets were practicing in training. Keep up the good work boys.

BOHEMIANS U11 met a very determined Waveney side in the cup quarter-finals. Both teams made lively starts with Georgia making some good saves. Briarnie and Millie went close with some long-range shots. Waveney took the lead after 20 minutes with a beautiful volley. The game went into overdrive with the Bohs sitting too deep to be a threat. Indianna and Rhianna came on, injecting some pace, allowing the midfield to move on. Ella had a shot blocked on the line then cleared the ball off her own line. Antonia and Jordan made some crucial blocks as the game went from end to end. Olivia found herself wide open but could not control the shot. Millie had a free-kick cleared off the line as she curled the ball over the defence. Bohs could not get the equaliser. The crowd gave both teams a standing ovation at the end of a terrific game. Player-of-the-match: Millie.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U16 welcomed North Walsham, one of the most sporting teams in the league. Into a strong wind first half Bohs found life difficult but seemed to be coping with the NW attack.

A bit of a communications breakdown followed by a misjudgement of the bounce saw them 2-0 down. With a minute left a great corner by Dayna was finished well by Charlotte H. The second half saw a transformation as Bohs seized control and Chelsea really came into her own as she fired home a hat-trick, the last of which was a screamer from well outside the area. In between was amissed a penalty and other efforts well saved. Libby added a couple, in great form at present. Becks, Megan and Charlotte Eaton all went close and Bohs ran out 6-2 winners. Chelsea got the player-of-the-match award but Sasha deserves a mention and she is the most consistent player in the team. Thanks to Libby for playing in goal first half.

ORMESBY, after a two-week break, returned to action away to Shrublands B and started slowly, allowing the hosts far too much time on the ball. Andrew and debutant Kai had to work hard at the back as Shrublands forced a succession of corners. Antonio tipped a long-range shot over the bar and another round the post before Shrublands could actually take the lead. Leon and Jamie made some good runs and Carter began to work some good openings as Ormesby finally started to get a foothold in the game. Jordan and Brandon had a couple of half-chances at goal before Andrew prodded home his first goal for the club after a goalmouth scramble for the equaliser. In the second half Ormesby upped their game with Carter seeing a lot more of the ball and Ben getting forward more often. Victoria had a good spell up front before Ben scored a well-taken goal to give Ormesby the lead, which they held till the final whistle. MoM was Andrew who had a solid game, capped with a goal. Special mention to Kai for an excellent debut. Next match is away against Freethorpe - kick off to be arranged.

SHRUBLANDS U13 travelled to Pakefield C on a very wet and windy afternoon. The boys started, well hitting the bar in the first few minutes and putting Pakefield under a lot of pressure. Pakefield defended well until Shrubs scored midway through the half. The goal came from a great move down the left starting with the best ball of the game from Kay when he played a ball through to Ollie. It left him with a simple pass to Coby and a simple finish. The rest of the game was a story of missed chances with the bar getting a beating and the Pakefield keeper making some great saves. At the other end the Shrubs' defence was strong, leaving Troy nothing to do. Overall, Shrubs played ok but they must start taking their chances. Norfolk and Suffolk MoM: Coby for a good all-round performance.

SHRUBLANDS U14 GIRLS entertained Freethorpe who scored an early goal. Shrubs picked up their game and started playing some good football which led to some great goals. Everyone linked up well passing the ball around, leading to a 16-3 win. Credit to the Freethorpe goalie who collided with one of the Shrublands players, but still played to the end. Goals from Abbie (7), Catherine (3), CJ (4), Harriet and Paige. PoM: Beth and Paige.

BLUNDESTON MAGPIES U11 played out an entertaining end-to-end contest in blustery conditions at home to Bohemians. The latter hit a post then took the lead. Magpies quickly responded, James scoring from close range after a goalmouth scramble. Magpies had a series of shots from Patrick, Ryan and James but just before the break Bohemians scored their second from long range into the top corner. With the wind behind them Magpies attacked with more purpose, Logan going close before scoring the equaliser from close range. Ryan had three great runs into the box, each time being thwarted by the keeper, Jamie also shot wide. Bohemians came close to snatching the win with a lovely move down the wing, the cross being fired over the bar from close range. Although the Magpies had numerous chances to seal the win it would have been harsh on Bohemians who put in a huge effort for their first point of the season. Magpies' man of the match was Jamie. Thanks to Kevin and Paul for deputising for Tony and Nick this week.

BLUNDESTON MAGPIES U12 definitely played their 'get out of jail free' card and were lucky to get away with a 3-3 draw against a Caister side who were on top for most of the 60 minutes. However well Caister played Blundeston put in a woeful performance in the first half with only Ally, George and Freddie showing real desire to play for the team. With enough defensive mistakes in the opening half to last a season and with some usually fine players showing no aptitude for the game Magpies deserved to go in 3-0 down at half-time. It would need a display of real character to get back in the game and it is very pleasing that enough of the Blundeston boys stepped up to the plate to turn this game around. Sam came on to break down Caister's still frequent attacks giving Patch and Stints in midfield the chance to get the ball down and play. Chopper got into the game more and Dan and Gibbsy started to back up down the flanks and as a result Magpies very slowly got a stranglehold on the game. Caister still remained dangerous on the break and Harrison put in a great shift clearing up at the back. Well-crafted goals from Chopper, Ally and George clawed the score back to 3-3 and if anything Magpies looked the stronger side at the finish. This was cruel on Caister who played some delightful football in long spells and will give any first division side a real run for their money. MoM: Ally. Goals: Chopper, Ally and George.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U12 are looking for three players to join a great bunch of girls. Girls who will enjoy a game of football and good team work. If you are in Year 6 or 7 and would like to go along and join in a training session then call Emma 01493 650629.

GORLESTON RANGERS U10B, with a few regulars missing, took on second-place Swindell. Following three corners from Swindell, each one led to a goal. James PR, Aaron and Luis tried in vain to clear their lines but the ball kept coming straight back with wave after wave of attacks from the dangerous Swindell attackers which resulted in another goal being conceded before half-time. The second half was all about pride. Lewis pushed up front and scored a brace. Sam, Joel and Henry tried hard but the ball just would not stick, and when it did the Swindell defence dealt with it. Alex created a lot wide on the right and was the only player who looked to have the confidence to go past the Swindell defence. A better second half saw the B's lose 3-2 but overall 7-2. Man of the Match: Alex Panteli.

GORLESTON FC U16 entertained Hempnall. During the warm-up game the heavens opened up, forcing everyone to the changing rooms for shelter. When the game got under the way Gorleston had most of the ball, playing it around then moving forward, getting into attacking positions and taking early shots. The lads showed that they can play when they want to with some great play from Millie and Kris who linked up well, switching from left to right. There was some great keeping from Jordy B and good play from Danny S and not forgetting the big defence of Matty P, Danny M, Kit S and Jon. Superb work, the players played as a team and won 7-1. Scorers were Kris 2, Craig H 2, Millie, Stolly and Danny M. MoM: Millie.

GORLESTON RANGERS U8B enrtertained Kirkley & Pakefield last Sunday. The match began with some fine passing from Rangers who started to create brilliantly-worked scoring opportunities. Jaydn, Joe and George were always in the thick of the action and worked vigorously to keep the opposition busy in their own half. In defence Harrison, Jamie and Logan kept their concentration to ensure that when K&P attacked the danger was soon cleared. Ethan in goal was fully focused and dealt with anything that came his way. In the second half Harrison went in goal, Ethan had a run out in defence and Jamie had a go in midfield. Man-of-the-match was Jaydn for a phenomenal display. The game was played in an excellent fashion with both sets of supporters ensuring a friendly environment. This week's match is at home to Loddon Grasshoppers, kick-off 11.30am. Rangers B would like to thank team sponsors, Harman Brothers Plastering and Busy Bees Nursery for their continued support.

GORLESTON RANGERS U12B visited Harleston in the cup. Rangers made hard work of this match and seemed flat compared to the past few weeks. Rangers soon took the lead with good 20-yard strike from Caleb. Harleston struck back later to level. From a penalty Harleston took the lead. It was good to see what has been practised in training coming to good use. Jack delivered a great corner from which Matt nodded the equaliser. Rangers took the lead through an own goal before Harleston were awarded a penalty just before half time to end up 3-3 at the break. The second half saw Dan open the scoring for Rangers again, with Ryan following up after 17 minutes. James then ran half the length of the pitch but shot straight at the keeper, with Jack doing some good follow-up play, tucking the ball away. Final score: Rangers 6, Harleston 3. Man-of-the-match was Jack for a solid display and a great work rate. Beach training this week, meet 9.30am behind the Ocean Room.

GORLESTON RANGERS GIRLS U11 were at home in the cup to a well-organised Sprowston side who the previous week had beaten the league leaders. Rangers for third week running struggled to field a full squad, with Hannah C in goal, Beth, Hannah S and Mary defending, Aimee midfield, Jess and Jayne up front. For the first half Sprowston had most of the play, peppering the Rangers goal, it was only the brilliance of Hannah C and the woodwork that kept them from scoring. Half time 0-0, another rousing team talk from Sally and Rangers were buzzing, some neat passing, a cross from Aimee found Hannah S in the box to slot home her second goal in two games. Sprowston were not done yet and Hannah C had to be at her best again to keep them out. Sprowston failed to deal with two Rangers corners and they both resulted in own goals and it was job done for Rangers and into the hat for the next round. This match was a struggle and all credit to Sprowston. GOM: Jayne tremendous effort. Next match home to Mulbarton ko noon.

HEMSBY HORNETS U10A played against Loddon Grasshoppers on Sunday and didn't play to their abilities. Hornets went behind when the ball played into the area, seemed to hit everyone and bobbled all over the place and was eventually headed in. But Hadley miraculously cleared it off the line only to see it hit Brady full on and end up in the net. Hornets had a couple of good runs and efforts that didn't test the keeper and their passing and battling, normally so good, just didn't happen. Loddon increased the lead when Hornets didn't track back and left spaces. Midway through the second half they scored a very good third goal and there was no way back. Hornets missed Billy (not well) with his ability to get past players and his pace. Nathan had his best game for the club to date, and although Brennan, Connor and Dominic tried it wasn't to be. But for some good goalkeeping by Owen and another outstanding display by man-of-the-match Brady, it could have been a lot worse. Hornets move on to the cup match against Pakefield D this weekend.

HEMSBY HORNETS U7B hosted a very organised Harleston. Hemsby battled all game but had no luck in breaking the Harleston defence. Man of the match again was Aaron, who made some fine saves, and his distribution is improving every week. Hemsby must start closing down quicker, and start passing the ball when they have possession. The club welcomes Rex to the side. Next game on Sunday at home to Shrublands (kick-off 11.30am).

HEMSBY HORNETS U9 STINGERS played Waveney A for the second time this season. With Waveney topping the league Hemsby started well and throughout the first half the game was deadlocked. Both teams played some excellent football and with good defending chances were very limited. Archie G. again made some good saves and his distribution was good in difficult conditions. Calum was asked to play out on the wing and it was clear that this was a natural position for him at the moment with some fantastic passing which led to openings in attack and helped clear the ball from the back. Tom and Archie S. worked relentlessly in a forward position making some great chances but struggling to get shots in against a solid Waveney defence. Ben played throughout the match in defence and made some great tackles and clearances, especially some headers away from the goal, and with Kahn alongside him they looked composed. The second half remained tight with the score at 0-0. After an inspired substitution by Waveney, they made the breakthrough with two quick goals making the final score 2-0. With no substitutes and 100 per cent effort by every player, it was extremely hard to choose a man of the match. Kahn was nominated by the team for his overall consistency and effort. Next, at home in the cup to Cobholm Boys, 10.30am ko.

HEMSBY HORNETS U8B played Waveney in an entertaining game with both teams playing some nice football. Hemsby started strongly, passing the ball around and creating chances, with James and Adam in the middle of the pitch. But for the Waveney keeper being in great form Jack could have scored many. Hemsby and Waveney played the same passing game in the second half, with Waveney having more chances, but thanks to Henly having a great game it could have been different. A special thanks to Jack G, Aaron and Harry for their contribution to the game.

SHRUBLANDS GIRLS U15 played Gorleston Rangers. With both teams having only eight players it was going to be tough going on large pitch, but both sides played their part to make this a good game. Both sides had many chances and gave it everything. Thank you to both linesmen who were fair with their decisions and tried and keep game flowing. Well done to Nikki and John who are getting girls to enjoy the game and also John from Gorleston Rangers who also gave plenty of encouragement throughout the game which Shrubs eventually won 9-3. Both teams battled to the end and this was a good match to referee.

STALHAM U12A met Sprowston in the cup, winning well 7-0. Stalham could have easily had hatfuls more but the Sprowston keeper was on fine form. Stalham's display of football was top class and every player had an outstanding game. Stand-in keeper Rylan rarely had a lot to do but played well with confidence when needed. Kieran, Dom P and Luke were faultless at the back and Tom in the holding role was outstanding. The midfield of Jake and Dom M were immense with their clever one-twos and feeding the ball out wide to Matti and Adam on the wings, whose crosses were a constant threat. And the work rate of Ryan and Aiden up front was top notch with their passing and decision making being spot-on. Substitute Andy had a good game at the back when he came on. Ryan set up the first goal with a great cross across the box to Adam to finish a back post. Adam then put in a lovely long cross for Ryan to finish at back post. Matti crossed for Aiden to bury his shot. Jake put in a superb corner that Adam headed in nicely. Ryan's shot saw Dom M place the rebound in. Jake then had another corner that Tom managed to sneak in at back post. And finally Dom M fed Aiden a good ball who hit a sweet strike from just outside the 18-yard box. PoM: Whole team.

SWINDELL JUNIORS U9 are looking for three or four players to strengthen their squad. Any boys or girls interested in playing for the team need to be currently in Year 4. Training is on Saturdays at 10.30am on North Denes School playing field. For further information contact Louise on 01493 855888

SWINDELL GIRLS U17 got back to winning ways and kept their first clean sheet of this season by beating a sporting Freethorpe side 7-0. With Mags' hold-up play, Ellie and Betty tearing down the flanks, they caused Freethorpe lots of problems. Betty ran through and coolly slotted the ball in after only three minutes. Porsha, in a different role midfield, had an excellent match. Ellie in a scramble in the goalmouth popped up to score. Bet got her second, a smashing strike from outside of the area. Mags turned and her shot sailed in for 4-0 at half-time. Second half Lissa went in goal for Megan. Smudge got the goal of the game, a delightful lob over the keeper. Bet got her hat-trick, another sensational run ending with a shot that flew in. Gabi saw her shot hit the inside of the post and bounce out. The seventh goal came from player of the match Betty who ran through again and smashed home. Gabi, Paisley and Meg a well- organized unit at the back had very few moments of danger. RPoM Betty closely followed by Porsha.
