Great Yarmouth and Caister Golf Club captain Alistair Low hosted a fantastic captain’s day with a full house of over 136 golfers.
They were well fed and watered on the course, complete with HKB Wiltshire’s goody bags, as well as the traditional drink and nibbles at the 19th hole.
The Texas scramble team event produced some impressive scoring with the eventual winners, a makeshift team of Mike Day, Cliff Williams, Richard Betts (team captain) and Josh Brooks, shooting a gross score of 59.
There were prizes for the first six teams and nearest the pin prizes on seven holes with a prize for the nearest the line on the eighth.
The winning team captain thanked his team and the captain, saying that the turnout was a testament to the captain and the way the club was progressing.
The members do not have long to wait for the next big event which commemorates centurion and local celebrity Jack Chase this Sunday.
