Full house for Yarmouth swimmer Atlanta

Swimming at King’s Lynn in the West Norfolk Open meeting, GYSC’s Atlanta Jarvis came home with a full bag, winning all five events in the 10/u age group.

Hot on her tail in the 12/u with four first places was Lauren James who missed out in the backstroke. Hannah Ingham had a good win in the 9/u freestyle followed by a second in Backstroke and two thirds Breastroke and I/M.

Honey Harvey was unlucky not to get a first place but ended with a second places in her five events. Melina Burwood was rewarded with three second places fly, breastroke, I/M and a third in freestyle. Sister Bethany had a good second place in Breastroke. Grace Leech and Kioni Broomfield continue their improvement with three third places for Grace Breastroke, fly, I/M, and two thirds for Kioni fly and freestyle. In a very competitive fly Hollie Haylett took third place.

Billy Heseltine in 9/u got a place in the first three in all his events first breastroke, second backstroke, I/M, third fly and freestyle. Samuel Skuse got in front from the start and stayed there to win the 10/u breastroke, with a third in freestyle. Tommy Chandler was in good form and his best gala yet gave him second places fly, freestyle, and thirds in backstroke and breaststroke.

Swimming at Deben in the second round of the Suffolk Summer League Great Yarmouth came second behind Deben A 229, Great Yarmouth 210, Thetford 174, Deben B 123, Waveney 113.

The 10/u girls got off to a good start with four first places Hannah Ingham freestyle, breastroke, Jenna Martin backstroke, and Emma Gordon fly. The boys were not far behind with second places for Tommy Chandler backstroke, freestyle and a second and third for Billy Hesletine Breastroke and fly. Jenna Utting was in good form with two new P.Bs for first in fly, and a second in breaststroke. Natasha Mansfield Holly third in the 11/u backstroke was unlucky to miss first place in the freestyle second with a new P.B. Luke Daine for the the boys stayed with the leader in the backstroke but had to be content with second place and a third in freestyle. Miles Houghton new P.B gave him a third in breastroke.

Lauren James won the 12/u breastroke with a third in the fly. Good team swimming saw a second place for Kioni Broomfield freestyle, and a third for Amelia Driver backstroke. Joseph Windsor Freeman swimming with great determination was just touched into second place in the fly. Jack Collins added vital points with two third places backstroke, and Freestyle.

The 13/u saw her best ever breaststroke swim from Bethany Burwood to win the 100m in fine style. she also got a third in the fly. Alexander Goff came in with a clear first place in the fly and a well-timed Freestyle saw him edge closer to the 60sec mark for 100m freestyle. Oliver Tedstone was first in breastroke and second in the I/M. Jake Honey was third in backstroke..Good support swimming came from Taylor Hudson and Loretta Askew..
