Gorleston Cliffs 5k Park RunA RACE to the wire this week. After a very cagey race Peter Gedge triumphed over Phil Quantrill by just two seconds. Peter, who was running for the first time recorded an excellent time of 18:21 and Phil, a previous GYRR winner, despite being narrowly beaten, recorded a personal best for the course.

A RACE to the wire this week. After a very cagey race Peter Gedge triumphed over Phil Quantrill by just two seconds. Peter, who was running for the first time recorded an excellent time of 18:21 and Phil, a previous GYRR winner, despite being narrowly beaten, recorded a personal best for the course. Peter recorded the days best age graded result of 75 percent.

Lorraine Dawson, GYRR, won the ladies race for the third time in 24:40.

Peter Smith leads the points table by 122 points from Howard Wilcox.

Janet Sanderson leads the ladies table from Avril Lilly.

Thirty seven runners took part this week.

To ward off any superstitions entrants in this week's 13th Park Run are encouraged to wear the most frivolous shorts they possess. The photo should make colourful viewing! After registering on the www.parkrun.com website just turn up on any Saturday morning for a 9am start on the cliff path opposite Park Road. It's all free to enter.
