IT took United 80 minutes to get the goal their pressure on the Wherrymen at Beccles so richly deserved in this Anglian Combination Premier Division top-five clash.
And this was after they had been reduced to 10 men, Thompson having responded in an incident which Acle felt should have seen a Beccles man also dismissed.
Acle's diminutive striker had caused the home defenders to panic from the first whistle of a game the officials appeared to struggle to keep under control.
League leaders Beccles scored a lucky opener after 35 minutes when McMorran drove a ball into the penalty area. It fortuitously struck Remblance when going well wide of the target and ricocheted into the top far corner of goal.
This spurred Acle on and for long periods the game was centred in the Beccles' half with the home defenders packing their territory in depth.

A draw was the least Acle deserved after they outplayed the hosts for long periods of an entertaining game.
The visitors looked a different side with Scott and Daniel Foreman back in the side. Ian Morgan, Dean Crosbie and Foreman were a revelation throughout the game. It was Ian Morgan whose ability to be in the right place at the right time allowed him to put his name on the scoresheet. He finished off a scintillating move involving Nobbs, Crosbie, Foreman and Ben Morgan, who made the last telling pass across the face of goal to find Morgan oozing class and skill to finish off a brilliant move to earn Acle a richly-deserved equaliser.
It leaves Acle fifth with 17 points from 10 games to Beccles' 20 from eight.
Tomorrow, Acle entertain bottom five Spixworth (2pm). Beccles face a trip to third-placed Cromer (19 points from 10 games).
