IT is an achievement that many golfers only dream about, but six-year-old Taylor Adams is already looking forward to his first tournament at St Andrews, which could lead to playing in the USA.
IT is an achievement that many golfers only dream about, but six-year-old Taylor Adams is already looking forward to his first tournament at St Andrews, which could lead to playing in the USA.
Taylor, from Bradwell, will be lining up against some of the finest golfers from Britain and Ireland in his age group for the grand final of the Wee Wonders Golf Championships this month.
Gorleston Golf Club member Taylor had to win his way through local and regional qualifying rounds to reach the final at the course known as the home of golf.
Inspired by golfing granddad Keith Adams, he picked up his first golf club at the age of four, but has only taken the game seriously for the last year.
Keith said: “All the club members are astounded that anyone can be that good that young.
“Taylor just loves playing and does not want to go home once he gets down the course. He struggles to carry his own golf clubs, and at the moment I am his caddy - but he has promised to buy sports cars for me and his dad when he turns professional!”

Since reaching the final, Taylor has been impressing friends at Hillside Primary School with his achievements.
Sponsored by HSBC bank and Colin Montgomery, the final is taking place at St Andrews on August 23 and 24. The competition will be played over nine holes on a par 3 course during the two days.
Mum and dad and Keith are all heading north of the border to cheer Taylor on in the competition.
On Saturday Taylor played at Aldwickbury Golf Club, Hertford and competed against 12 other players, finishing second.
If he is wins his age group, Taylor will be part of the team to visit Pinehurst Golf Club, America later in the year to take part in a competition against a United States team.
