THE Greens completed the league double over Thetford at Emerald Park on Saturday, having won 4-1 away. In another very entertaining game Mick Money's Thetford fully played their part.

Gorleston took the lead after four minutes when captain Eddie Thompson moved up into the attack and converted from close-range. Gorleston looked dangerous and made the score 2-0 shortly after when Pete Lambert scored from inside the area.

Regular keeper Tom Marsden is out for the rest of the season through injury so Annis Niali took over in goal and new signing Elliott Pride, another accomplished keeper, was among the substitutes.

Thetford responded well and their keeper Matt Terry, 17, who performed well throughout.

Chances continued to be created in the second period. Thetford reduced the arrears when a quick break on the left led to a scramble in the Gorleston goalmouth and the ball was eventually put into the net.
