Gorleston Bowling Club held their first roll-up of the new season on Bank Holiday Monday, which was very well attended despite the blustery conditions.

The club was formed in 1945, originally for the men returning from the war, and play has continued on Gorleston Cliffs for over 70 years.

With the new season upon us the club will play over 70 games in several local and county leagues, with men’s, women’s and mixed teams. The club also holds various in house competitions which can be very competitive, but good fun.

They also hold roll-ups on Saturdays at 2pm, which are open to all, and a great way to get started and meet new players, with refreshments at half-time.

The club would like to thank all members who have stayed loyal to Gorleston Bowling Club, despite the disruption at the end of last year, and welcome all new members and look forward to the new season.
