Having opened their league campaign with a win in midweek Gorleson set out on the FA Cup trail tomorrow with a difficult trip to Stanway Rovers in the extra preliminary round.
If there is a need for a replay it will be on Tuesday night at Emerald Park.
If there is no replay required, the Greens will be at Kirkley & Pakefield instead on Tuesday night, providing Kirkley themselves are not in cup action. Gorleston U-18 begin their season on Thursday, August 10, with a home match against Norwich United (7.45pm).
Last week, Lowestoft Town retained the Sailor Brown Trophy when they beat Gorleston 5-1, the Greens’ goal coming from Connor Ingram.
Gorleston lost their final pre-season friendly 4-0 at King’s Lynn. Tom Siddons put the Linnets in front in the fifth minute and Craig Parker made it 2-0 midway through the half. Leon Mettam’s second half double ensured victory.
