Ipswich Wanderers 0, Gorleston 3

Despite reaching half-time at Ipswich Wanderers goalless, Gorleston returned to the top of the league with three second-half goals.

A penalty soon after the break from Darren Cockrill set the Greens on their way.

Less than 10 minutes later Ali McKenna made it 2-0, and the win was secured with a Mitch Forbes goal.

The Greens leapfrogged Cambridge University Press, who beat them 4-3 at Emerald Park on Saturday, and lead them by one point with three games in hand ahead of tomorrow’s visit to sixth-bottom Fakenham, who beat the Greens 1-0 on their own patch in August.

Diss Town and Whitton United remain the other promotion contenders.
