Norwich Dragons II 1, Gorleston 3
A win under floodlights and light rain brought the first half of Gorleston's season in Division Three North East of the NE14 East Men's League to a satisfactory end, comfortably in fifth place on 21 points.
The match was a scrappy affair between two evenly-matched sides. Gorleston opened the scoring through Damien Bunting, back after suspension, and doubled the lead when Adam Stone - also making a welcome return to the squad - fired home before the interval.
In the second half the hosts got one goal back before Mark Vaudin restored the two-goal advantage from a short corner.
The next game will be a friendly at Cliff Park Community pitch on January 3, when Norwich City III will be the visitors.
Push-back is 2.30 pm.
