Archant

Penny Platten and Rosemary Woodhouse began a great week last Wednesday as Penny recorded nett 71 to win the March Medal, with Rosemary third.

Both hoped to maintain form for the visit of Anita Hartley and Carol Schoenherr in the Daily Mail Foursomes on Saturday. They did that, surging to a 7 and 6 victory. The jubilant Gorleston pair now eagerly await their next opponents.

In the Winter Midweek Stableford, Dave Henwood and Wally Perring fought it out in Division One. After both recorded 35 points, the win went Dave’s way.

Things were equally close in Division Two as Greg Carter held off Andy Klein and Andrew Church.

Nick Studd returned a best of the day 39 points to win the Saturday Stableford and the following day, in the March Stableford. Les Dukes recorded an 36 points to win Division One. Jason Baxter returned to win Division Two while Division Three went to Glenn Lark.
