Gorleston Parkrun win number 10 for wonder Whall

PUBLISHED: 18:20 30 November 2012

Between pells of stormy weekend weather cool, clear and calm conditions greeted 105 Gorleston Parkrunners and proved to their liking as 23 recorded personal best (PB) times.

Paul Whall of Lowestoft RR ran clear of the field for his 10th win in 17:25. David Hughes was second and, with 18:03, recorded the best performance of the day and the only one better than 80%. Third was Keelan Pywell in 18:12.

In the ladies race Penny Studley of GYDAC recorded her 19th win in 22:46 with Tina Jorday second in 23:22 and Pauline Richardson of GYRR third in 23:34.

We are seeing some fine young runners at the Parkrun now, several under 14. Two worthy of note were Harry Greenslades and William Simm who finished in the excellent times of 21:50 (19th) and 22:02 (20th) respectively. Also in this age group Harry Smith (68th) and Keiron Grey (70th) were impressive too.
