With a frosty start to the morning, the salt brigade were out early to make sure the Gorleston parkrun course was safe.

Otherwise the weather was not too bad for a bracing run. Not surprisingly, numbers were down to just under 200 but many personal bests were recorded.

The first three women home were Penny Studley, Emily Barnston, in a new personal best, and Charlotte Nicholls.

The first three across the line were Rob Chenery, Marc Evans and Ben Wharnsby.

The day’s star personal best was Jon Bird on his 43rd parkrun.

The midfielder was Stephen Oldman while Lauren Davis reached 50 parkruns and Jo Anverali made it to 100.

This coming Saturday is the Christmas run and the dress-up theme is Christmas Decorations. This is usually quite a sight and non-runners and walkers are invited to see the friendly spectacle which starts every Saturday at 9am on Gorleston Cliffs.
