GORLESTON FC play their first home pre-season game of the year tomorrow with their prestigious friendly against Norwich City, kick-off 3pm.

The Greens warmed up for the game with a 5-0 victory at Holt last week.

The Canaries only returned to pre-season training on Monday and have had a week of intense fitness training at the Colney Training Centre.

City will then jet off to Germany on July 17 for their pre-season training camp.

There will be one more chance to purchase tickets for the Norwich game today.

They will be on sale in the clubhouse between 3.30 and 7pm. Alternatively, you can call the credit card hotline on 01493 852713 and then collect on the day. A limited number will be for sale on the gate.

In the FA Cup extra-preliminary round Gorleston will travel to Woodbridge Town on August 20.

In the FA Vase the Greens enter at the second qualifying round stage on September 24 and will be at home to either Mildenhall or March.

The youth team have been drawn at Ipswich Wanderers in the FA Youth Cup on September 19.

Manager Richard Daniels has signed winger Liam Harvey-Cooper who made 13 appearances during the second half of last season for Norwich United. For over two seasons seasons prior to that, he played regularly for Kirkley & Pakefield.

After 34 appearances in two loan spells with Gorleston, Reece Hunn has also put pen to paper for the Greens.

Youngsters, Jack Whatmough and Liam Williams have both re-signed. Both players are now too old for the Under-18s, but Whatmough already has first team experience and is a quality goalkeeper, whilst Williams had an excellent end to the season for the Under-18s.

Daniels has clarified that Christy Finch has joined initially on a three-month loan deal from Lowestoft.
