For a small group of elite Great Yarmouth SC swimmers the Easter weekend was spent competing at the highly competitive gala hosted by City of Norwich at the UEA pool.

The level one element of this gala meant that only swimmers who had met the tough entry times were able to compete.

Honey Harvey was the most successful GYSC performer, achieving second place in both 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke, third in 200m breaststroke and sixth in 100m freestyle. Grace Leech also put in a strong performance, qualifying for the final in four events. Kelsey Wilson had another storming swim in the 400m freestyle, jumping up the rankings to bag a fifth place in her age group.

Tommy Chandler qualified for the final in the 100m breaststroke, Ryan Webb got a good PB in the 50m freestyle while Anna Pearce and Anna Duffield also recorded personal bests.
