The Norfolk Basketball Association has announced the draw for the 2017-18 Norfolk Cup, and once again Great Yarmouth will start out as underdogs.

Despite being the county’s premier basketball competition only five Norfolk League clubs have registered teams, with Yarmouth the only side representing Division Two.

The draw means that Great Yarmouth will face-off against four Division One sides, including home ties against Reepham Rapiers and reigning league and cup double-winners Attleborough. The draw also includes a mouthwatering away tie against local rivals Lowestoft Leopards, before culminating in a visit to Wildcats.

Great Yarmouth can declare up to 15 registered players to feature in the competition including members from both the men’s and U17 sides, giving head coach James Borg plenty to think about ahead of the first game against Reepham on November 7.
