Gorleston aim to continue their recovery from a weekend “mugging” against league leaders Wroxham who described the Greens as “the best team we have played this season.”
After a dramatic 3-2 success clinched in injury time, Yachtsmen boss David Batch admitted: “We were lucky to get away with it. Credit to Gorleston, they have been the best team we have played so far this season.”
Devastated Gorleston boss Richard Daniels said: “We feel mugged, but that’s football for you. There are plenty of positives for us to take out of this performance as we made one of the best teams in this division look very ordinary.”
Gorleston bounced back from Saturday’s disappointing last-minute defeat to record their third 2-1 victory ths season over Diss on Tuesday.
Tomorrow Gorleston travel to strugglers Walsham-le-Willows. Walsham are currently third from bottom having won just three of their 15 league games so far.
