Bungay 6 Gorleston 5
GOALS were the name of the game in the annual Joanne Lockwood charity match between Gorleston and Bungay.
A mix of current and former players took part in the annual fixture on behalf of the British Heart Foundation.
An entertaining match saw the Greens stage an impressive second half recovery before Bungay grabbed a late winner.
The home team raced into a two goal lead with Gorleston reducing the arrears through a Mark Ingram penalty.
Losing 5-1 at half time, the Greens came out fighting. A superb strike by Robert Fleck started a goal rush with Scott Butler scoring two and Ricky Butler one.
The score was even at five-all until the closing moments when Bungay grabbed the winner.
Now in its sixth year, the game originated as a memorial to Joanne Lockwood, who died suddenly aged 32, leaving a husband and young son Josh.
